How to keep the blank lines
Each blank line becomes a Braille blank — a real character that renders as nothing, so Instagram keeps the line and the reader sees an empty one.
Everything happens as you type, in your browser. Nothing you write is sent anywhere, stored or logged.
About the Instagram Caption Formatter
Instagram strips the blank lines out of a caption when you paste one in, so a piece of writing carefully broken into paragraphs arrives as a solid wall of text. This is why captions across the whole platform are littered with dots and full stops on their own lines — everyone is working around the same problem.
The reliable fix is a Braille blank: a real Unicode character that occupies a line but renders as nothing at all. Instagram sees a line with content and keeps it; the reader sees an empty line. No dots, no clutter. A full stop is offered as well, since it survives being copied between apps a little more predictably and some people prefer it.
Alongside that, the tool shows the part of the caption that actually appears in the feed — roughly the first hundred and twenty-five characters, before the “more” link. Almost nobody taps it, so that opening is the only writing most people will read, and seeing exactly where the cut falls changes how you write the first line.
Hashtags are counted and checked as you go, including the ones that will not work: a hashtag containing a hyphen or a full stop is silently truncated by Instagram, so a caption can look well tagged and reach nobody through any of them.
Everything happens as you type, in your browser, and nothing you write is sent anywhere. Captions are usually drafted before anyone has decided to publish, which makes that worth stating.
