About the Merge PDF
Merging PDFs is the kind of task that appears at the worst moment — an application wants one file and you have six, a contract and its annexes need to travel together, a set of scanned receipts has to go in as a single attachment. The job itself is trivial; finding a tool that does it without an account, a watermark or an upload is the hard part.
This one runs entirely in your browser. The files are read into memory, combined, and handed back as a download, so nothing is transmitted to a server. That matters for exactly the documents people most often need to merge — contracts, bank statements, medical letters, identity paperwork — which are precisely the files you should not be uploading to a free website.
Order is the thing people get wrong, so it is made explicit. Each file is listed with its page count and can be moved up or down before you merge. Buttons are used rather than dragging, because dragging does not work on a phone and getting the order right is the entire point of the tool.
The page content itself is copied across untouched — same resolution, same fonts, same embedded images. Merging is not a conversion, so nothing is re-compressed and nothing degrades, and the resulting file is roughly the sum of the originals.
Files that cannot be opened are flagged as soon as you add them rather than at the moment you press Merge. A PDF that is genuinely password-protected cannot be merged without the password; one that merely declares an empty owner password — very common from office software — opens fine, the same way it does in any normal reader.
How to use the Merge PDF
Add your PDFs
Drag them in or browse for them. You can add more at any time, and the page count of each file is shown so you can check you have the right ones.
Put them in order
Use the up and down arrows next to each file. The number on the left is the position it will take in the finished document.
Merge them
Press the merge button. Everything happens on your device, so even a large set of files takes only a moment and nothing is uploaded.
Download
Save the combined file. Your original PDFs are untouched — the merged document is a new file.
